Happy National Donut Day!

I just stopped into a Dunkin' Donuts a few hours ago, and I got a free donut with my coffee.  Apparently, today is national donut day.  There's some long backstory, but we don't need to go there. However, in honor of this glorious day, I am going to make my first food related post.  Ground breaking I know.

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine introduced me to Doughnut Planet in NYC, and it is delicious.

Although everything is good, my favorites are the carrot cake and the tres leches.  So if you're ever in Chelsea or the Lower East Side, why not step in for a delicious donut.
